Obs - Battuta Friday, July 25, 2008 My group wasnt that bad. The camp wasnt that bad either though I sort of prefer survival camp. My groupmates were great and we got to bathe except for one day. Battuta! - our group name. quite funny the name is :) Campsite 2. not as good as campsite 1 but still ok though np campsite is much better too. The tents we pitch were kind of small and the pegs are extremely small. Fotunately it nv collapse. First day kayaking, second day rafting, third day belaying and hiking, fourth day kayaking and jetty jump first day kayaking was very short. Just learning, capsizing, rescuing. nth much but rather fun. rafting was new and very much of a great sense of accomplishment. We actually built a raft that was rather strong and we kayak all the way to camp 2! Never sink or anything :) great job battuta! belaying - everyone tried and most accomplished to the top. the hike was annoying cause the backpack are seriously heavy. campsite 3 is horrible. no toilets. wan zhen, me, chen wei and another gal went to the bush to relieve ourselves. very weird lor but first time experience haha. kayaking from around 7 to 1 plus. very tiring esp at the chek jawa (not sure of spelling) where the waves are choppy. fang yuan had to relieve himself in the water during resting in the middle of the sea. by the time i reach campsite 2 i was freaking tired and aching all over. I seriously cursed alot alot of times during kayaking la :p Jetty jump was very very fun. we all went to jump again. All except one jumped. some ppl are really selfish. no valid reason not to jump. made us wet and cold while persuading her. not even trying and not even helping the whole time. argh. Bing Shen and I were cursing in our heart lor. (did not realise until on bus) last day we cleared the store and then did some stuff and came back to sing... went to eat with simin they all. so tired that i slept on bus, nearly flew out of seat :D |
