CNY celebration Friday, January 23, 2009 Ok so. Yesterday was the CNY celebration in school. The concert itself lasted two hours and before that we were supposed to have chi lessons. For the first time in our Chinese teacher's life, she made the right choice not to give us any lesson. For that, I probably will save her if she dropped into the deep, gigantic drain outside school:D We end up going to the comp lab to do a so-called survey. In the survey, we are suppose to WRITE not tick-against-the-box, 3things we like about RV and 3 which we dun like. Plus, the format of the survey is like writting a letter to a cousin who has gotten beack his.her PSLE results and is considering whether to come to RV. (min 100 words) *roll eyes* -.- You call that a survey? I know our school always encourage creative thinking but this is going overboard right? So, we sat in front of the comp thinking about what to write and I got totally no idea what I like about the school. I only realize that I have nth to like about the school only yesterday!!! I ended up fabricating a lie like other ppl about what I like about the school :) well, I have to right? *innocent* The concert happened to be rather chaotic when it came to the games part because everyone was frantically throwing away the 'disease-carrying cow' to someone else and screaming madly when the cow landed next to them. It was a funny sight but extremely chaotic. Went out with Chantel and watched Bride War. The show was rather nice and a little bitchy. Of course, there is a little humour in it too :D Chantel and I saw a lot of nanhua ppl at JP. It is like flooding can. Even at the cinema, we were sitting next to a row of nanhua ppl. OMG! Their territory liao lor. Anyway, hoping to enjoy the CNY soon! Wednesday, January 21, 2009 I happen to come across an interesting quote as I was doing CID reflection. It says "When you do not know what you are doing and what you are doing is the best---that is inspiration" Seriously, I am still wondering what it really means. Hopefully what I inferred is roughly the idea the quote is trying to convey :p Sometimes when we are doing certain things, we will be just moving our hands to perform the task. Yet, when we are doing that, we seems to have no control over our limbs. They seems to be moving on their own accord because we have got absolutely NO idea what is going on. Our mind seems to be blank, yet it is not. Perhaps, that usually happen when we are doing somethings that we never did before. It seems so strange, so unfamiliar that we know not what we are doing. Is that bad? Well no necessary... As we do things we never had before, we are working on something new aren't we? This will imply that we have written a new story in our personal 'life history'. It is a new page of our 'life story'. When we attempt new stuff, we learn new things, we advanced forward by a step, a leap or even a mile. Inspiration can bring about a revolution in our life. How's that? Nice? Sensible? I hope it does make sense :D Anyway, I seriously feel like dying during LA lessons. They are so boring that I yawn a million times and nearly stumble in slumber :( HELP! Monday, January 19, 2009 I AM SERIOUSLY IN NEED OF A WALLET!!! The Finale Saturday, January 17, 2009 After all the hard work from last year till today, it has finally ended. Science Busker Finals was this morning and I am extremely tried after the event... Kinda sad that we did not get into the TOP3 but it is still a good experience :D After all, we have improved tremendously and all the people who had seen us through the whole thing told us so! The emcee likes our group too!!! He is a nice guy who voted for us during the busking round :D I am glad that our performance is well -liked by the audience even though we really miss a little bit to get to the TOP3 If you asked me whether I will participate again, I will probably say NO, but who knows? maybe when I am free, I may join again :D I got a total shock today when I actually realise that the box of dry ice is not with me when I am suppose to do an experiment. Luckily, the judges says that I was rather calm and cool and Hui Min they all say my reaction was rather funny (phew) After the whole event, I nearly died. Went out with Annabelle and zhi qi, and the three of us were frantically(too exaggerated) looking for wallets. I have been trying to look for a wallet for dunno how many million years to no avail can. Saw Genie, Zhuo Wen Xuan at IMM! OMG I super happy to see her cause I quite like her but I was surprised that she is not very tall. Anyway, Zhiqi's elder sis looks younger than her! That is totally unbelievable! FINALS! Monday, January 12, 2009 Thank You Lee Theng! Thanks alot for ur help on our final day of busking :D We got into the Finals and I am very satisfied alr. It is very hard to squeeze into the top three during stage performance but it is alr very good that we came in second for busking round. After all, busking means gaining audiences as you busk like along the streets or public areas because it is not very much for stage performances which will be too formal to use the word busk. Busking is like a street performance, which can attract ppl's attention... Our online video shows bubbles that really can bounce a few times before bursting as well as the trick of touching or even cutting bubbles without bursting them. There are also other bubbles such as the pyramid ones, the cube ones... I am so tired tired TIRED! Another day to go. Tmr, the judges will be coming down. I hope that they will cast their votes for us :D Lingzhi says that our group (the Bubble Machine) has improved alot in our presentation. Well, we are doing bubbles which fascinates kids. So, thanks to the kids, we got alot of votes! heh heh. But it is seriously tiring to have to stand there the whole day and dipping my poor hands into the soap solution... My hand is in a pretty bad state now :( Anyway, thanks squadmates so much for coming for both slots, thanks my BLS mates, thanks classmates :D Your votes sure helps! Hopefully, we get into the finals! taking advantage of -.- Thursday, January 08, 2009 I am so annoyed by this chinese teacher in our school just like many other students do. It is always always her who luvs going around catching ppl for their attire. When one wears a skirt, isn't it rather normal for the back to be shorter than the front by a little? Unless the person is abnormal and has not butt, I don't think the skirt will be of equal length at the front and back... I mean my skirt was of unequal length (the front and back) but at least it is not obvious nor abnormal, also, it does not shows my PE shorts yet. So, it is NOT SHORT. You cannot expect us students to dress like maidens to school right? Come on la this is not in the 1900s, it is the year 2009, going to 2010 next year liao can. Might as well give us those long long dresses and ask ur to tie plaits to school ... Plus! My skirt was only two to three fingers above the knee and the length is exactly that of my NPCC skirt. So, whats the problem when even the HTA(police accademy) did not criticise about it? Anyway, I am not even wearing mini skirts yet and the skirt is still longer than those I wear to go out. Whats the problem with her la. She said that we must learn to protect ourselves, wearing short skirt (which is not short at all) to go out will only land ourselves into trouble because we will lure lechers towards ourselves. -.- Hello?! Is she trying to say that girls on the street wearing mini skirt should always wear long pants like she does and never to wear skirt again just like her who nevers wear even a dress? Because if girls, ladies, females wear skirt (not just the mini ones) will get molested. - according to what she says luh. Besides, she practically drag me to one side and then she uses her fingers to touch the back of my legs (trying to measure the number of finger from the knee to the skirt). Can I then sue her for molesting me? I do not rmb allowing her to touch me, esp when she ask me not to look and feel for her fingers as she touches the back of my leg right above the knee all the way to my skirt. She did that to other girls too. What the F*** is that, she ask me to be wary of molester when she seems to be one to me. Totally taking advantage can. Her act of violence - dragging me against my will to an area behing bushes, is unacceptable too. She could just use that BIG mouth of hers to say about my skirt length but NO she touches here touches there. Oh! and I suspect she actually written a speech so that she is prepared about what to say to girls who wear skirts that she feels is too short when it is actually not. Be flexible... I receive a Junk mail sent to the everyone in the squad today from this person who so totally pisses me off -.- Here is the mail: Dear all, I'm pretty disappointed with today's handling of ~~~~ case. First of all, when a squad mate is not feeling well, as NCOs, you should make the correct decision and inform your teachers in charge. I commend ~~~~ for doing this. Secondly, do not self medicate. You are not a doctor. I know that taking panadol is something very common, and even if you are taking it by yourself, read the instructions. It mentions up to 2 tablets each time, 4 times a day. Thirdly, even if your squad mate says that he/she is feeling better, you cannot assume that he/she is indeed feeling better. Once again, you are not a doctor. Can you make the decision if he/she is indeed feeling better? If you do not have the professional capacity to make this judgement, do not make it. Will you be responsible for him/her if anything was to happen afterwards? Whenever you do something, think of the consequences and think ahead. Don't just look at what you can see in front of you, this is extremely shortsighted. I must also commend your two CIs with the way they handled this case. Please learn from them. Regards, Mr **** OMG! Does he even know what he is saying and what was happening? I was approach by one of the CI who told me to take a look at the casualty, which I did. It was told to me by the CI that they had sent someone to look for a teacher so I just stayed next to casualty. Thus, the statement about us NCOs not informing the teacher in charge is a false accusation! Because, someone has been sent to fetch for a teacher alr... Plus, the casualty was having menses cramp. Taking the panadol for cramps is not wrong at all. (All girls do that right?) We are not stupid so we do know that she should take only 2 pills. Do not jump into assumption that we do not know that knowledge and it is not like we feed her the pills right? So, whats the point of asking us to read the prescription since we are not forcing the pills into her or anything. Read the instruction, read the instruction... Oh please, what nonsense is that la. Thirdly, even if your squad mate says that he/she is feeling better, you cannot assume that he/she is indeed feeling better. Once again, you are not a doctor. Isn't that what doctors do? Listen to patients and find out if they are well or not... Have anyone ever met a doctor who refuses to let a patient who had recovered get out of hospital? The mail is totally riddiculous! We are not shortsighted and we do think before we act. If you refuse to comply with the wish of the casualty just because you are afraid to get into trouble youself, then please shut up and go away. (No one ask you to stay and help if you are so unwilling) We think of the needs and wants of the casualty and try to act according to what she wants instead of going against it. I think that is more reasonable unlike the selfish act. It is because we thought about the consequences of taking up the decision made that we decided it is better not to carry it out esp when it is not what the casualty wants. I really cannot stand people who just jump into conclusion and criticise others when he/she does not even get the details right. It is also extremely irritating to know people who are so obstinate and refuse to give in just because he/she wanted to save himself/herself from embarassment. Reflection upon one's own action is always better than refusing to admit them. Plus! Do not accuse people wrongly, it is so wad the f*** irksome. -names are being lifted off because i think there is no need to show them Video-ing Sunday, January 04, 2009 To prepare for the busking clip to post on youtube as part of the competition criteria, we went to Laura's house to tape. I so totally forgot about the glycerin and funnel(Ooops) Luckily it did not affect anything or I will be super guilty esp when I rmb that I had forgotten sth when I was reaching JE and couldn't go back home to get. Then, on the way to Laura's house, a very huge problem came in. we DO NOT HAVE A CAMERA!!! Laura's video cam with cousin, zhi qi and I forgot our cam. Luckily her cam is in working condition :D The videoing take damn long cause we keep NG...(finally understand how hard it is to film stuff esp for the actors&actresses) Our preparation plus a few dry runs took so much time, we forgot our lunch until 2 plus. The pasta cooked by Luara's maid was really the 'battery' that charged my energy because it is super cheesy and nice. Totally delicious :) I sooo have craving for it and want it again!!! heh heh. Anyway, our bubbles FINALLY BOUNCE and we were so happy and our spirits were lifted by that. When Laura wore the Lab coat which we pasted lots of 'dots' on, she practically went insane, shouting and acting weird. She keep saying that those 'dots' (which kept falling off because of her moving too much) are money and she was like shouting ' fa cai '. It was so damn funny to look at. By the way, Laura's house freaking far, the bus ride super long can. I nearly died on the bus:) Anyway, we did like a few experiments and I hope we can get lots of views and very good rating! Hope our busking at science centre runs smoothly! First Day Of School Friday, January 02, 2009 OMG! Today is like the start of school and I am still in the holiday plus busking mood! Wearing the new school uniform feels totally weird. TOTALLY! The collar is so hard and stiff and high. As you know my hair is not very short but it is not very long either. However, you cannot say it is shoulder length either. That is why, it is freaking weird somehow -not her not there luh huh. Then the skirt also weird weird de. It looks too long but it cannot be too short either. Early in the morning, I reached the class to realise that the classroom air-con is somehow not functioning. I bet you have no idea how worried I was about staying in that 'oven' the whole day. Morning assembly was worse. We stood at the field, on the grass with crickets hopping about and flies buzzing around us. It was so uncomfortable and what the hell irritating, trying to shake of the pests. Upon the dismissal from assembly ground, teachers stationed themselves to catch students' attire. LOL Anyway, when I return to class, someone seating at the back finally realised the problem of our air-con. The main switch was not on -.- Tan Hui Zhen is back again as our form teacher AND physics teacher. I don't know what to say can. Hope everything will be fine and well for this year. |
